Chairman Phillip Tolley welcomed 35 members and 2 guests to the January meeting held at Mendi's Wisbech. The speaker for the evening was John McGovern, former Captain of Nottingham Forest Football Club, which famously won the European cup in 1979 and 1980, under the management of Brian Clough and Peter Taylor. He also won a  league championship medal for Derby County and Nottingham Forest and 2 League Cups. He is now a professional after dinner speaker and a pundit on BBC radio Nottingham for Nottingham Forest. Members thoroughly enjoyed his talk and found him even more enjoyable when he very amusingly answered many questions from the members. Nick Baines gave the vote of thanks on behalf of the Club. The February meeting will feature cheque presentations to the Bob Champion Cancer Trust and Scotty's Little Soldiers charities. There will also be a presentation from Bruce Martin from Talking2Minds charity and from Wisbech Sea Cadets.
