The Balsham Singers - Membership

MEMBERSHIP

We rehearse on Thursday evenings, 7.30-9.30, in The Pavilion,  Church Lane, Balsham, CB21 4DS. No experience is necessary, the ability to read music, although helpful, is not needed. Our current fee is between £45 and £55 per concert term (depending on the number of rehearsals and the cost of the venue/music hire). In addition there is an annual membership fee of £5 per choir year (September to May) - payabale annually in September or on joining the choir if after September.

Members receive communications by email about choir matters. You can join at any time but it is advisable to join at the start of the term, if possible, as we begin rehearsing for the next concert straght away. The Choir is run by a Committee in conjunction with the Musical Director, and the members of the Committee usually stand for 3 years. Our Annual general Meeting is held in late September or early October each year.

Term dates 2023/24

Thursday 14 September 2023 to Thursday 14th December 2023 
Plus afternoon rehearsal and evening concert on Saturday 16th December

Thursday 11th January 2024 to Thursday 16th May 2024
Plus afternoon rehearsal and evening concert on Saturday 18th May.
