Loc-Mai Yuen-Brooker - Choir Pianist Loc-Mai Yuen-Brooker was born in Bracknell, Berkshire; studied French and Music at Westminster College, Oxford and later qualified as a Licentiate of the Royal Academy of Music. She then took up a post in Vierzon Choir and Music School, touring France accompanying and performing. Returning to Berkshire while continuing to teach, she furthered her experience on the concert platform and as a piano recitalist.
Settled in the Wisbech area predominately as a piano / theory teacher, Loc-Mai also enjoys accompanying and performing, showing her passion for the piano. This has become the hallmark of her high standard of teaching, imparting her skills with enthusiasm, hence ensuring the enjoyment of her pupils’ flourishing talents at any level. Likewise, she takes much pride when guiding those pupils who choose to pursue their aptitude to university or Music College.
With over 25 year’s experience in teaching, Loc-Mai currently has vacancies at all levels and ages, and is willing to teach pupils in their own homes.
At the end of the Summer 2006 term the Choir presented Loc-Mai with a double (duet) piano stool in recognition of her 5 year's service as the Clarkson Singers' accompanist. Accepting the generous gift, Loc-Mai, who teaches piano to both adults and children, said the piano stool would be put to constant use by herself and her pupils.
